Hunger and food insecurity have always been an issue and the pandemic increased the problem. Now, we are dealing with rampant inflation affecting families’ purchasing power – and hunger increases.
June is Hunger Awareness Month. June is also the month when school breakfasts and lunches cease, leaving many children without the nutrition they need to remain healthy.
We are teaming up with credit unions across the five county Philadelphia metropolitan region to collect food donations in an effort to fight childhood hunger in our communities.
Food donations may be dropped off at either of our branch locations during the month of June.
